I am a passionate fine artist, photographer and wanderer, based in the North West of England, on the border between the beautiful Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. After qualifying as an Illustrator back in 1994 I carved a reasonable living out of private and commercial commissions, mural painting and community arts projects, until returning to University in 2005 to complete a BA Honours Degree in Fine Art.
I make drawings, paintings and photographs inspired by the beautiful and diverse landscapes that surround me. I aim to create work that goes beyond describing objects and surfaces; exploring the imaginary realms that exist between memory, experience and reality.
